The Swiss Neon designs, manufactures and installs illuminated signs in Montreux and across the canton of Vaud. This project presents a KIOSK LED neon sign prepared for a point of sale at Montreux Jazz Festival. The drawings show two design versions; the photographs document the lighting tests, preparation and placement on site. The installation was adapted on site in response to last-minute changes in the client’s requirements.

Prepare the project and quote
The desired wording, visual identity, available space and site photographs provide the starting point. The event schedule and access conditions help us prepare a proposal covering manufacture and installation.

The first document shows a 122.5 × 40 cm sign with a supporting structure. Another design version indicates 153 × 50 cm. These drawings bring the lettering, illuminated border and presentation method into the same study.

Make the bespoke KIOSK sign
The lettering and border take shape against a dark background. LED neon follows the outlines of KIOSK, creating a clear wordmark with a continuous illuminated line.

The sign is switched on in the workshop to check the lettering and border. The front and angled views show the continuity of the lines and the balance of the composition before it leaves for the site.

Last-minute changes in the client’s requirements called for adjustments on site. Preparation of the support and placement of the sign were adapted to the layout selected at the venue.
