Installation at height with a boom lift

The Swiss Neon designs, fabricates and installs illuminated signs in Bern. This project features the China Cultural Center sign, installed on the façade of the Freudenberg centre at Giacomettistrasse 15. It combines a red logo, custom white lettering and boom lift installation planned around the location.

From the first idea to installation

A new sign in seven stages

A successful project takes shape in the drawings, in the workshop and on site. Assessing the façade and access prepares the way for custom fabrication, followed by installation with a boom lift.

  1. 01

    Prepare the project and quote

The logo, lettering, façade photos and desired dimensions shape the initial proposal. The quote brings together the creation of the sign and the work required to install it on the building.

A proposal built around your identity and your location.
  2. 02

    Assess the façade and access

The site visit allows us to examine the mounting surface, fixing points, connection requirements and access to the installation area. For work at height, planning the position of the boom lift forms part of the project preparation.

The building and access conditions guide the installation method.
  3. 03

    Approve the quote and design

The composition, proportions and colours are defined before fabrication. The quote sets out the agreed scope, while the visuals help show how the sign will look on the façade.

The red logo and three lines of white lettering create a coherent identity.

The design drawing

A red logo. Three lines. One identity.

The logo and the words “CHINA CULTURAL CENTER” form a composition approximately 3.60 m wide on the drawing. The drawing defines the proportions and arrangement of the elements before fabrication.

The proposed appearance

A presence, by day and by night.

Design visualization: proposed appearance by day and by night.
  1. Fabricate the custom letters and logo

Fabrication gives the approved design depth. The red logo and white letters are made as separate elements, then prepared to form the three lines of “CHINA CULTURAL CENTER”.

The preparation drawing separates the logo and letter groups.

  2. Prepare the finished sign for installation

In the workshop, the elements are brought together to check their arrangement and the balance of the complete sign. Preparing the sign and its connections makes the subsequent installation on the façade easier.

  3. Install the sign with a boom lift

The boom lift provides access to the installation area at height, in front of the shopping centre’s façade. The sign elements are positioned, aligned and secured according to the planned layout, before the connections are completed.

    Precision at height, too.

The boom lift provides access to the installation area on the Freudenberg centre’s façade. The sign layout, positioning and fixings are planned around access to the site.

sales@theswissneon.ch
Do you install illuminated signs with a boom lift in Bern?

Yes. Where the location and access conditions allow, a boom lift can be used for installation. The China Cultural Center sign on the façade of the Freudenberg centre in Bern demonstrates this method of working at height.

Can you create a sign for a business in a shopping centre?

Yes. We prepare a proposal based on your logo, the available dimensions and the position on the building. This project features the sign of the China Cultural Center, which is located at the Freudenberg shopping centre in Bern.

Why assess access before installing a sign at height?

Access to the façade determines how the sign can be installed. The site survey allows us to examine the mounting surface, fixings, connection requirements and possible boom lift positions before planning the installation.

How can I request a quote for a new sign in Bern?

Send us your logo or text, photos of the façade, your desired dimensions and the project address. Include a wide view of the access to the building to help us plan the installation. This information allows us to prepare a free quote tailored to your project.

What affects the cost of sign installation with a boom lift?

The quote takes into account the sign’s dimensions and fabrication, the mounting surface, fixings, access to the façade and the equipment needed for installation. A site assessment helps define the work included in your installation.
